Lloyd, NY- This morning, County Executive Mike Hein was joined by Commissioner of Health and Mental Health Dr. Carol Smith, and Ulster County business and community leaders at Tony Williams Park to officially declare May 2, 2015 – May 10, 2015 as the 5th Annual Healthy Ulster County Week. During Healthy Ulster County Week, special events, services and promotions are being offered by local businesses and community organizations to encourage Ulster County residents to live healthy lifestyles, in the ongoing effort to make Ulster County the healthiest county in New York.

Posted: April 23, 2015Kingston, NY - County Executive Mike Hein visited Gateway Industries, in Kingston, New York, today to announce his plan to expand and improve Ulster County’s Meals on Wheels program. The new Senior Meals on Wheels Plus program will not only include hot meal deliveries to eligible seniors, but support through a new and intensive “Right At Home” service, designed to provide enhanced at home support and advocacy for the County’s most vulnerable seniors.

The containers are a popular choice of fast food chains and other restaurants that use them for take-out orders or leftovers.
